"Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom" Movie Review
The much anticipated sequel to blockbuster hit Jurassic World roars into theaters this weekend and it's pretty clear that the Jurassic Park franchise is officially going extinct - killed off by poor filmmaking.
Let's begin with what Jurassic Park usually does well - visual effects and soundtrack. Both are average but not spectacular. In fact some of the shots of dinosaurs running seemed like the animator took the day off. The story is held together by acts of sheer human stupidity, bouncing from unrealistic situation to unrealistic situation and jump scares that don't elicit much of a response from the audience. As much as I love Chris Pratt - and he's the best this film has to offer - his performance is a little mundane.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom may be the first mega blockbuster of the summer but it may fall to earth faster than the asteroid that wiped out the dinosaurs 65 million years ago.
