"Star Wars: The Last Jedi" Movie Review #2
Tone down your expectations movie fans; The Last Jedi is not worthy of the praise it's been afforded by movie critics to this point.
Let me get the good out of the way first. The Star Wars franchise once again has proved it's the pinnacle of visual effects and editing. The acting is superb and the musical score is, as usual, flawless.
Here's where The Last Jedi loses its way: Adding characters for diversity that steal screen time and prove useless in pushing the plot forward. Not to mention stunting the story arc between two of our main characters from The Force Awakens. There are even some random head scratchers along the way.
As a big time Star Wars fan, I did enjoy the vast majority of The Last Jedi, but there are definitely some glaring errors and maybe, just maybe if there was continuity in the story room (JJ Abrams Episode VII & IX - Rian Johnson Episode VIII) for this new trilogy it would've been more successful.
