Bumblebee Non-Spoiler Review
"He's more human than you'll ever be." One of the many criticisms of the Michael Bay led Transformers franchise was the lack of emotional connection to our heroes. In Bumblebee, Travis Knight opted to flip that script and in doing so provided the best Transformers film to date.
The story is coherent and simple, carried along by the fact it can pull legitimate laughs from the audience while providing many heartwarming moments. Hailee Steinfeld is a bright spot in otherwise average performances from the rest of the cast.
That's where any slight criticisms end with Bumblebee - the soundtrack for a film set in the 80s was perfect. The Visual Effects are as expected from a Transformers film.
If this is the quality to expect from the soft reboot and film from Hasbro sign me up for more. Bumblebee is the best Transformers film to date and could be the best to come out this Christmas. Don't miss it!
