"Teen Titans GO! To The Movies" Review

This is an upbeat inspirational review about Teen Titans GO! To The Movies. Sure, it's a kids cartoon on the big screen, but Teen Titans is among the best superhero movies that Warner and DC has ever produced. Yes DCEU, even better than you.

Vibrant, fast paced, and super funny, Teen Titans is a breath of fresh air for 2D animation in cinema. There's the periodic butt or fart joke, but the majority of the comedy plays on pop culture and superhero movie popularity. Essentially, the kids may laugh, but the adults will likely laugh harder.

So much of what Teen Titans represents is reminiscent of what we saw Warner Animation Group do in The Lego Batman Movie; superstar voices behind fast paced animation complimenting a barrage of witty lines. This is how Warner competes with the likes of Disney. Not by replicating what they do, but by making fun of what they do.

With a mid-credit scene that’s sure to make Titan fans cheer, Teen Titans has ratifies the “GO!” style of these sidekick heroes. Skip the short ahead of the film, but don't miss a moment of the Teen Titans GO-ing. As arch-nemesis Slade says: it's "monumentally dope."
