ForReel Box Office Summary: The Nun preys on the competition with Impressive Opening

The Nun spooked audiences to the tune of $53 million this weekend easily beating out perennial August winner Crazy Rich Asians. The second new release Peppermint performed within expectations earning a modest $13.2 million. "Peppermint" numbers however, were lower than they could of been - Releasing in roughly 900 fewer theatres than 2nd place Crazy, Rich Asians.
