As entertainment continues to blur the line between cinematic features and episodic entertainment, ForReel joins Wanda and Vision in dipping into the world of television for the very first time.
Last week, WandaVision debuted on Disney+. The first two episodes are a dramatic departure from what many have come to expect from big budget superhero entertainment as the show starts off by harkening back to classic black and white sitcoms. But amongst the wild and whimsical scenarios the couple finds themselves in, something strange is going on. Through old-school television entertainment, WandaVision is building a suspenseful mystery, and it won’t be long before we figure out where this oddball entry to the MCU fits in the grand scheme of things.
