TIFF 2021 | Interview with "You Are Not My Mother" Director Kate Dolan and Cast Hazel Doupe & Carolyn Bracken

The folk horror film YOU ARE NOT MY MOTHER has it's world premiere as part of the Toronto International Film Festival's Midnight Madness program. Something strange has happened to Char's mother, Angela, when she suddenly goes missing, then just as suddenly reappears. Tension mounts and secrets are revealed as Char begins to notice more and more bizarre behavior from her mother.

Thomas had the opportunity to talk with director Kate Dolan and lead actors Hazel Doupe (who plays Char) and Carolyn Bracken (who plays Angela) about their experience making the film and the moments that made production special for them.
