PFF 2021 | “Small Town Wisconsin” Interview With Director Niels Mueller

In Small Town Wisconsin perpetual drunk Wayne Stobierski makes a last ditch effort to give his son the weekend of his dreams. Following his loss of custody Wayne and his son travel to Milwaukee in what is supposed to be a final father-son adventure but transforms into a journey of profound redemption.

In this interview Tim and Thomas talk with Director Niels Mueller. Mueller is a seasoned veteran in the industry as he was one of the final production draft writers of studio box office hits 13 Going On 30 and Letters to Juliet. A Milwaukee native, Niels spoke candidly with us about the industry and about the authenticity of making a film revolving around small town U.S.A.

Small Town Wisconsin took home Best Director honors at the Boston International Film Festival last year. It does not currently have a distribution deal but talks are ongoing. You can follow any updates on the film here.
