TIFF 2022 | Wrap Up Discussion and ForReel's Top Ten Festival Films
We’re wrapping up our coverage of the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival by talking about our experience in Toronto and discussing our favorite films at the festival. As our first time attending TIFF in person, this was an incredible, unforgettable experience, and I’m very grateful I had the opportunity to experience this film festival with Taylor Beaumont and Todd Pengelly.
Over the course of TIFF, we had the opportunity to watch a number of incredible films, talk to filmmakers, see celebrities, and so much more. I was even able to cover the red carpet arrival of the cast and crew for Sanctuary. And it was awesome for us to meet up with friends while we were in town, like Rachel Ho who co-hosts Contra Zoom Podcast, Christopher Cross who is the Film Editor for Tilt Magazine, and Ryan Guido from Reel Deal Cinema.
In this video, Taylor, Todd, and I discuss the top ten films of the festival. After tallying up our scores for all of the films we watched at TIFF, I took an average of those scores and identified the ten films that we collectively rated the highest. Of course, there are so many films we enjoyed beyond these top ten, so I encourage you to read through our coverage, as many of the titles we wrote on will be making their way through the Fall festival season and into theaters in the coming months.
