ABOUT THE PROJECT
My name is Thomas Stoneham-Judge and I founded ForReel to give film enthusiasts a space to share their opinions and professional publications on cinema. Every year, this work takes me and my team to Sundance Film Festival.
This time, I am to make a short documentary about the work of a film critic and journalist at the festival, spotlighting the often unseen work we do to make festival coverage possible. This final Sundance in Park City is the perfect moment to capture these stories - the long days, the challenges of creating timely and thoughtful coverage, and the shared passion for film that drives it all.
This is my first time making a short film, but I'm bringing my extensive experience with ForReel operation and content creation to the table with planning, production, and editing skills that can serve filmmaking. Although I'm working with less than a microbudget, I have a very deep passion for this subject matter. Your contribution will directly help honor the people whose work helps audiences everywhere better understand movies, finally giving their creativity and dedication the visibility they deserve.
