"Deadpool 2" Movie Review #2
One of the biggest issues plaguing cinema these days are sequels that don't quite live up to the original. Deadpool 2 falls into this category - it's funny as hell - but I couldn't help but think I've seen this all before.
As long as Ryan Reynolds is still playing the lead character the casting will be highly rated on these films. The addition of Josh Brolin as the time traveling Cable (aka Thanos) was another home run.
Where this film is lacking is originality. This is really just Deadpool the extended version. Sure, many of the jokes and parodies are on par but some were simply recycled from the first film.
If you enjoyed the original you will no doubt enjoy Deadpool 2.0. It's hilarious and fun but lacks a certain depth and originality. Still, most would assume Deadpool would want to go deeper.
