"Rampage" Movie Review

Rampage is everything a movie critic abhors in modern filmmaking - the story is weak and the acting mediocre but that doesn't mean it doesn't more than make up for that in pure entertainment value for audiences.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is the lone bright spot in a cast of no names outside of Supernatural and The Walking Dead actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan (who might as well be a no name in this film).

This film is entertaining as hell - the pacing is very brisk leaving no time to rest between three enormous animals destroying everything in their path. The visual effects rival some of the best in the industry with the final battle sequence topping it off.

Rampage is everything your average moviegoer would want. Judging by the crowd I witnessed you may just need a giant gorilla to clear your way to the ticket booth.
