"The Happytime Murders" Movie Review
Hi, kids. Today's letter of the day is "t". T stands for terrible. That's exactly how one would describe sitting through The Happytime Murders. A weak script, subpar acting performances and comedy gags that fail to hit the mark doom this dark comedy.
One has to wonder if Melissa McCarthy has any comedic acting range because we've seen her part in this film in nearly every film shes been in and at this point it comes off stale.
Looking past the obvious gags of puppet sex the script is overloaded with the word "asshole" it almost seemed like the writer couldn't think of any other way to insult different characters.
The Happytime Murders had so much potential but still couldn't elicit a positive response even when relatively low expectations. Maybe the letter of the day should be "f" - for flop.
