I am a Chicago-born filmmaker and theorist currently studying English and Cinema Studies at the University of Toronto. I have written scholarly articles on films such as Zodiac, Mad Max: Fury Road, Snowpiercer, and many more acclaimed films.
Since joining ForReel, I have grown immensely as a film critic. I began by covering the Midnight Madness program at the 48th Toronto International Film Festival as a guest author. Since then, I’ve written numerous reviews about new horror and thriller films as well as other mainstream releases, and I covered Sundance 2024 as accredited press and, with TIFF being my current home-base festival, I anticipate also covering that festival as accredited press annually as well.
Eventually, I aspire to write and direct feature films, primarily focusing on the thriller and satire genres. For as long as I can remember, I have been a film lover and I have always had a passion for making and discussing films.
While I greatly enjoy watching movies, and I especially love watching movies with others, as I believe a love for art is what brings people together. I am also a film collector, as film restoration, distribution, and accessibility are the most essential facets of the modern cinematic landscape.
Film is my passion above all else, and I am excited to share my love with the rest of the world!
